Liquid Carmine: Uses

There are 4 different types of carmine that can be obtained; the variation in tone of the final product will depend on the type of carmine used.

Liquid Carmine IMBAREX, which is a dark violet solution produced from aluminum lake and Cochineals’ Carminic Acid, is obtained through an aqueous extraction followed by a dilution process. It provides a violet to red tone to the final product, depending on the type of product, process and amount used.

  • Drinks
  • Cosmetics
  • Pharmaceutics

Our recommendations:

In order to use it properly, shake the product before using it, since the pigment may settle during its storage. It can be added to the target product while shaking. If color must be diluted before its use, it is recommended to use soft or distilled water. If you don’t have any of this, add just before its application. Do not mix with calcium salt.

It must be stored in a cool (15°C – 25°C), dry and well-ventilated place. The container must be kept properly closed. If this product is stored under the above-mentioned conditions, it will preserve its properties for up to two years.
